Bill Purse is Professor and Chair of the Guitar and Music Technology programs in Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music. Purse received his bachelor of music and master of music at Duquesne University, where he studied composition with Dr. Joseph Wilcox Jenkins at the undergraduate and graduate levels. While developing the music technology graduate and undergraduate programs at Duquesne, Purse has also distinguished himself as a composer, arranger, and producer in radio and television. Bill Purse has performed as a thereminist in a variety of electro-acoustic and acoustic settings, including as featured solosit with the Washington Symphony and with the Duquesne University Electronic Ensemble.
